Kimber Rose Bybee

Introducing our newest addition!  Kimber Rose Bybee was born November 19, 2014.  It was an amazing day to say the least, but to make it even better it is mine
and Brett's anniversary.  She is a perfect little girl and we love her more and more each day.  Babies are such a miracle and a blessing aren't they!?  Linlee loves holding "baby" and is slowly getting used to having someone around.  It's definitely an adjustment, but an adjustment we are all willing to make:)
Kimber's birth story is another crazy one.  I guess these babies like to make a grand entrance into this world!  To start off, my pregnancy had some complications.  Kimber's umbilical cord was connected to the side of the placenta rather then the top.  It is called Velemtus Cord Insertion.  It usually causes the babies to grow smaller.  During my whole pregnancy the Doctors kept saying that they needed to do a c-section because the condition could cause my uterus to rupture.  I was monitored twice a week to measure the baby and see how she was doing.  Well, she was measuring 3 weeks ahead at every appointment, I had a ton of water, and she was doing pretty awesome!  At 34 weeks, the Doctors finally decided that a VBAC was going to be a good idea.  I was extatic!  Fast forward to the week of her birth...
Earlier in the week, I just wasn't feeling like myself.  I was only 35 weeks but since I wen't early with Linlee, I wasn't quite surprised.  Early Wednesday morning I started having back pain, then they turned into cramps, and then full blown contractions.  I called my mom, and she immediately knew I was going into labor.  My contractions were about 3-4 minutes apart lasting 30 seconds long.  I called my sister Rachelle and she hurried right over to watch Linlee.  My mom couldn't decide whether to drive to Rigby right then or hang out for a bit. If it was anything like Linlee's birth, I didn't have much time.  Well, Brett and I decided to head to Rexburg and get things checked out.  I went to the doctors office and when the doctor checked me, I was only at a 2!  I really couldn't believe it.  I for sure thought I was gonna be like a 5.  My mom then came and met us there.  The doctor wanted me to hang out a bit and come back and get checked around 4.  Brett went back to work while me and my mom walked, cleaned the car, shopped, and all while I was contracting pretty hard.  I had to be dilated more right!  4:00 came, and I was still only a 2!  What the heck was going on?!  The doctors put me on the monitor and watched the baby.  Well, I was definitely contracting, but baby wasn't looking all that great.  Doctor came to me and decided he wanted to take the baby via c-section.  I was crushed, confused, and scared all over again!  I talked it over with Brett and my mom, and we decided that the doctor might be rushing things, but let's get a healthy baby here.  Brett rushed back to the hospital while I was getting prepped and ready to get another baby!  So many things were going through my mind at this point.  I honestly couldn't believe I was about to be a mother of two!  Rolled back into the operating room and luckily my mom was able to come in there with Brett.  Isn't it amazing what doctors can do!!  I was just laying there, feeling a ton of pressure on my stomach while Brett is comparing me to gutting an elk!  At 6:02pm, Kimber Rose Bybee was born.  She was a whopping 7 lbs 5 oz and 20 inches long.  The doctor even yelled out, "What a Ham!"  Not a very big baby for full term, but for a 35 and 6 week baby, lets just say I know how to grow a baby! When the doctors looked at the umbilical cord and placenta, they were quickly reassured with their decision to do a c-section.  It was a lot worse then they thought and it could have led to some scary things, things I don't want to even think about!  But she is here safe and sound and we couldn't be happier!
She looks just like Linlee when she was a baby, but with her own personality:)  We love Kimber!!

What happened to Little Linlee!

I can't belive how big Linlee has gotten just within a month!  I picked her up one day and about fell over cause she was so heavy! She has definitely put on some weight!  At her 2 month check up she weighed a whole 10 lbs.  She is showing her personality and it's a cute one! I have been taking her on my runs in the morning and she absolutely loves it! She is laughing and smiling...until she falls asleep:)

It's so fun being a mom.  Even with all the dirty diapers, spitting up, crying in the middle of the night, constantly worrying about her, I have enjoyed every minute of it.  It's crazy that I have total control of this little body.  It's up to me to feed her, change her and teach her.  It might be tough at times, but when she laugh's or has the biggest smile on her face, or when she nestles her head into my shoulder...it's all worth it!

Linlee was blessed on June 2.  It was such a good weekend full of family, food, and lots of fun!  It all started with the older nieces and nephews coming and staying at my house.  We had hot dogs and fries, played Just Dance, went fishing, boating, and they ate lots and lots of candy!!  Saturday came and so did the rest of our family.  We went out on the boat in the freezing water, ate dinner at Dairy Keen, and no family party would be complete without a game of hearts!  Sunday was awesome!  I definitely couldn't do anything without my family.  They were such great help getting all the food ready and making sure everything was ready.

Brett did awesome and her blessing was great.  It was followed by some awesome food and friends/family.  We are so appreciative of our family and friends for making the long drive to Heber for Linlee's special day.  We have the best people in our lives!!

Linlee Darlene Bybee

Linlee was born April 11, 2013 at 9:16am.  She definitely came as a surprise to us, but we couldn't be more happy!! You know the cliche...you never knew you could love someone so much? Well, it's true.  I love this little girl with all of my heart and she has brought so much joy and happiness to Brett and I.  It's been a long 2 1/2 years waiting for this moment, but after being poked and prodded, paying bill after bill, and spending nights worrying and crying, I can say it has all been worth it!
This little miracle wasn't due until May 8.  She must be impatient like her mother and came 4 weeks early.  Her birth story is quite a story!  This is going to be a long one so hopefully you all can endure it!  During the whole pregnancy, I felt great! Of course there were days I felt HUGE and wanted to be able to do things you can't do when pregnant, but for the most part, I was happy and healthy.  About 2 weeks before she was born, I was having some preterm labor.  I had to spend the night at the hospital and put on bed rest for about a week.  I was starting to dilate and was effaced about 80%.  I kept thinking to myself, this can't be the real thing! I felt contractions, but nothing to where I had to scream and shout!  After that scare, I was just taking it easy.
The next week we came back to Idaho for my baby shower.  It was so great and Linlee is definitely spoiled:) She has a lot of people who love her!  While in Pocatello, me and my mom went up to the hospital so check everything out and make sure baby was doing good.  Come to find out, she was breech.  During this whole pregnancy I have been preparing myself for a natural birth.  I figured I have had so many drugs in my body that I didn't want anymore and knew I could do it.  So when we found that she was breech, we looked on the Internet for anything and everything on how to turn your baby.  I did it all!  I put frozen veggies on the top of my stomach while holding a flashlight between my legs.  I stood on my head, I layed upside down on an ironing board, played music to get her to turn, and even bought a moxibustion stick (they smell like pot according to Brett).  Nothing worked.  I went to my doctors appointment on Tuesday and he advised me to get a version.  It's where they relax your uterus so manually turn your baby.  We scheduled an appointment in Pocatello because my mom knows all the doctors and who can do they best.  We got an appointment Thursday at 12.  I was so scared but excited at the same time because I knew it just had to work.  I did not want a c-section!!!!!  Brett and I just planned to leave Thursday morning in time for the appointment, but something made us decide to leave Wednesday night late.  Even my mom was questioning us leaving so late Wednesday night, but we came anyways.
On the ride home, I was starting to feel a little pain in my lower back.  It felt just like cramps, but I really didn't think much of it.  I was looking on line for why it could be hurting and everything lead to starting labor.  I thought, no way it could be labor.  I have 4 weeks to go still.  We made it to my mom and dad's house late and went to bed.  All night my back kept hurting.  It would come and go, but it never got so bad that I really questioned it.  My mom worked early so when she was up getting ready at 4 I asked her about it.  She said not to worry so much about it because I wasn't having any other symptoms.  I thought the same thing.  I tried to go back to sleep, but it didn't work.  In the morning, I was starting to get little contractions.  They didn't hurt bad but it made me a little worried so I called my mom to ask.  She asked the doctor and he said that i was probably fine and just to come in and we would get the baby turned.  At about 8:00am I decided to shower and start getting ready.  Started to get dressed and.....my water broke.  It was the craziest, scariest, weirdest feeling ever!  I freaked out a little and started calling for Brett, but he was out in the garage.  I yelled and he finally heard me.  We called my mom and she told us to get up to the hospital.  The only thing I could think about was trying to get her turned before labor really started.
So we get in the car and head up to the hospital.  Brett NEVER speeds and still didn't! I was having some contractions that were getting stronger so I wanted to get there asap!  Brett drops me off at the door and my mom is waiting there for me with a wheelchair.  I really thought that I was still fine and that I could walk, but oh well.  I get layed on the bed and nurses, including my mom, start stripping me down, poking me with needles, and all that good stuff.  The next thing I know is my mom checked me and  the words "completely ruptured" rang through my head.  Then another nurse checked my cervix, and the look on her face said it all.  I was a 7!!!!!  Who knew!  They got me prepped and ready to go back to surgery.  I of course was freaking out a little, plus they gave me a drug to slow down contractions that made my heart race even faster.  The nurse checked me again 5 minutes later and I was a 9 1/2! What?????  I was almost complete! I felt like I wanted to push but they kept telling me to hold everything in.  I got wheeled back to the OR and they got me all ready to cut in to me.  I don't' know what I was even thinking.  I was still in shock that I was actually going to have a baby in 5 minutes...not 4 weeks!  The next thing I know, our miracle was placed next to me and I melted.  It was the best thing in the world being there with Brett and our sweet little girl.  The world really stopped for that moment.  I know it sounds cheesy but it's the only way to describe it.  After about an hour of waiting for the feeling in my legs to come back, I got wheeled back up to a room where Brett and Linlee were waiting for me and I finally got to hold my precious miracle.
After thinking about the way things happened and the decisions that were made, I knew that we were prompted to be where we were when we were.  Heavenly Father was looking out for us.  What if we decided to come Thursday morning instead?  We would have been about an hour into the drive, in the middle of nowhere.  Even though I had to get a c-section, it was so worth it to have Linlee here.  She is a trooper and a blessing in our lives.  We really couldn't be more blessed having her born into our family.  Plus having all our family being in Pocatello was great:) We got lots of visitors and help.  I'm so thankful for the fasting and prayers that went into helping get her here safe.  She is perfect and I am so in love with her!  I love my cute little family and love these tender moments we get with her.

Countdown!

30 weeks down, 10 to go and I can hardly believe it.  This whole pregnancy thing is...um....weird!  I don't know how else to explain it.  My body is changing without my acceptance, my stomach feels like a punching bag, and my legs, well, lets just say they don't look like my legs anymore!  I'm not complaining about it, but I think I will be glad to hopefully get my body back.  I will be even happier to have a baby in my arms!!!!  Wow, I'm gonna be a mom!!!  Ha ha, and Brett is going to be a Dad!  I am so excited to see him with our little girl.  I can only imagine the things he is going to teach her.  He will be so cute with her!

2 months after we have our baby, Whitney (my little sister) will have her little girl!  I am so excited for them.  For some reason, I just new it was going to be a girl.  I can't wait for both our girls to play together and me and Whitney to be mothers together.  It's like a dream that is come true.  I guess the Lord knows what we need and when we need it!

This was taken when Melanie, my sister, had her twin girls.  I think this could be pretty close to how it might look:)
Thanks for the picture Mel!
