Honeymoon

Brett and I went on our honeymoon to the happiest place on earth...Disneyland! It was so much fun. We had a blast just the two of us. We went to a BYU football game, Disneyland, California Adventure, Knott's Berry Farms, and made it home just in time to celebrate Thanksgiving with Brett's family. We relaxed and played to our hearts content. Didn't want to come back to reality but we did and it is great being home with family and friends.

We did it!

It's final, Brett and Chelsey took the plunge into marriage! No going back now, sorry Brett, your stuck (like glue :) ). Our wedding day was a dream come true. I couldn't have ask for anything different, well, I take that back...it was a little cold! We had all our family and friends there and it was perfect. I always thought I wanted to get married before my little sister, but I was so grateful that all my sister's and their husbands could be there (I forgive you Griff!) along with my parents and grandparents. The Temple was amazing and I am so grateful that Brett could take me there and we are married for time and all eternity! I will post pictures soon of the day and of our Honeymoon! We went to Disneyland and it was of course, The Happiest Place on Earth!!!

Almost Time!

I know I know, it has been forever since my last post. I have been super busy, well, if you call hanging out with Brett super busy ha ha! Life has been a little crazy the last couple of months. School, bing engaged, work, and planning a wedding while my family is away enjoying the nice hot sun of Hawaii!!! Can you believe they would even think about going without me!!! Ha ha! This last week has been a little stressful, but only one more week until I am marrying my best friend, sorry Ami, it's Brett :) I have been watching Jo and Mel's kids this last week. It has been stressful, tiring, hard and most of all, I have loved every minute of it! How do you guys do it? I entered the world of motherhood with 5 kids all in one day! I love these kids, and all my nieces and nephews. I am so blessed to have this opportunity and not gonna lie, maybe, just maybe made me a little baby hungry! I know it has been hard for Mel and Jo to leave their pride and joy's with me and I am grateful that they trust me enough to leave their kids with me. They are so dang cute! Wedding planning is going great (mom don't worry) and only one more week! I thought being engaged was supposed to be fun and the best time...whoever said that is crazy! I just wanna be married and get on with life:) I am going through the Temple on Tuesday. I really can't wait. I have been waiting my whole life for this next week. I am so lucky to have the examples in my life that I have. I am so grateful for them and how they have helped me to this point in my life. Thanks family!!! I love you and I love Brett:) CAN'T WAIT!!!

Finally!!

Yes, it's hard to believe, but the day has come...Chelsey is getting married :) I really never thought the day would come, but I am so excited. I couldn't have been more surprised either. Brett asked me to marry him at the Playmill Theatre. Everyone that helped...you are all amazing liar's!!!! I couldn't ask for a more patient and loving man. I am one lucky girl!!!!!

Well, a lot has happened the past couple of weeks. I guess the biggest change in my life is that I moved back home. After a lot of paying and fasting, help from family, crying, and making a bigger deal then what needed to be made, I decided that school was the best option for me. So, ISU will be my second home this fall. I am taking a lot of math classes so I can teach math so I will be spending a lot of time in study sessions! Bring it on calculus!! It was really hard to leave Arizona. I met some amazing friends and will miss then terribly but they will just have to come and visit the great state of Idaho:) I am happy to be home though and have a lot of things planned before school starts.

So some things I have been doing...me, Roxy, and a couple of ladies in our ward took a trip to Zion's to hike the Narrows. Let me just say it was amazing! So pretty and something that I will never forget. It was so worth the 20 mile hike through freezing water, slipping on rocks, freaking myself out with flash floods and creepy noises, and spending time with Roxy and some great ladies. Would I do it again?? Heck yes!

Our family took our annual camping trip. This year we decided to camp in style. We stayed in a house in Bear Lake and it was the best idea ever!!! We played cards, played in the water, got sunburned, took family pictures, went through a cave, and made memories. Can't wait for next year!

I had a birthday, shoot hooray! It was a great birthday because for one, it was my birthday, and second, I got to spend it with the people I love:) I got scrubs (cause I am now a CNA), books, clothes, a blanket, jazz apparel, and flowers! I'm a lucky girl!

Me, mom, Whitney, Susan, Jessica, Kathy, Lisa, and Natalie hiked Table Rock. I love that hike and we had a great time. This year we went up and back down the back way. It was a little longer, but easy on the knees! Ended the hike with square ice cream at the Dam store:)

I went to West Yellowstone with Brett and his family. I about froze my butt off learning how to surf, but it was worth it. Brett's family was great and after stressing about getting beat up (if you know the story), I made it through the weekend and had an amazing time!

As for now, I will be working at Safe Haven working on the activities committee. I am super excited about playing bingo and not having to wipe butt's! One more week till school starts so the plan is to play hard!!!

Lagoon!

Just 2 weeks before I move home, my parents bought me a ticket to come to Utah for Cooper's baby blessing. I couldn't have asked for a better trip. Finally got to see Cooper, who is so freaking cute!!! All our family was there and to top it off, we went to Lagoon! It makes moving home that much more exciting:)
Last ride of the day...our faces say it all!
"Melanie, LET ME GO, LET ME GO!!" ha ha ha
