Go, go, go!

We have had a blast the last couple of weekends!  It's been pretty busy but we wouldn't have it any other way.  We went back to Idaho a couple weekends ago to see DYW (Jr. Miss) and the Rodeo!  I didn't take any pictures at Jr. Miss cause Brett wasn't the happiest, since I made him go.  What a great husband he is:)  We went to the Rodeo with Bryce and Becky.  It was so much fun.  We always have a blast with them!  Luckily we made it in the Rodeo...I forgot the tickets in Heber.  We called our landlord and he got in our house and scanned them over to us.  It all worked out so Bryce didn't have to kick my butt.

Last Saturday we went to the University of Utah's Spring game.  I could really care less about how the rest of the team does but Griff played awesome!  We were the loudest and proudest fans!  It was a beautiful day and we were surrounded by family.  It was so much fun!  We are truly blessed with great family, great friends, and a great life!

Things are still great in Heber!  I have started working at Kneaders that just opened here.  It's been crazy busy but it will be a good job.  It's kinda fun to be back in a bakery, plus they have delicious sandwiches!  Go there!!  Brett is still working hard and strong at Epic.  We are getting excited for it to start getting nicer so we can go BOATING!

Heber City

Say what you like but we are now Utards!  Other then being away from family and friends, it's actually pretty nice here in Heber City.  Brett is now a desk man.  He is getting used to his new job and likes the change.  I love it cause I actually get to see him a lot more.  He gets off at 5:30 and is home by 5:33 :)  Before, I was lucky if he got home around 7 or 8.  Plus Friday is a half day, and Saturday is all dedicated to me:)  As for me and a job, I am subbing, hoping it will eventually led into a permanent position teaching.

We have some really fun and interesting neighbors.  They are an older couple and are so full of information! Whether it be about themselves and their birthday presents, or bowel movements, they have it all!  Ray and Forest...say that fast...rainforest!  Ha ha! Last weekend we went with them to the sportsman's expo in Salt Lake.  It was so fun to get out and do something.  It was pretty interesting to say the least, but they were great and pretty hilarious!  Forest can't walk long distances so he has this OLD little scooter and cruises around on it!  Ha ha, I laugh when I think about him on it.  It's great to have good neighbors!  We have also made some new friends in the ward.  They are a younger couple, so around our age group.  They just moved into the ward as well so we automatically found some common ground.  We went over the other night for games and dinner and it was so fun!  It's their turn now to come over to our house and play some hand and foot!

Other then that life is pretty good.  I can always find something to complain about, but yesterday after a rough weekend, I realized...it doesn't do any good to complain and cry and wish things were different.  Sure I like to throw myself a pity party, but do it and move on.  Keep my head up and go forward with faith!  Everything will be all right!

When life throws you a curve ball...

...run for it you idiot, that's a grenade!!!!  Ha ha that's about how I feel right about now:)  So we just moved into our cute little house just before Christmas, got all situated, painted, fixed it up nice and fun, and then BAM!!!  Brett got a job in Heber, Utah!  Don't get me wrong, I am so excited for him and proud of him.  This is what we have been praying for so I should have known it was coming.  I just didn't think this fast!  I know this is what we are supposed to do, but it's super hard leaving family and friends that are so close! Literally, living less then a minute from my mom and dad, and Mel and Jo!  I guess I better count my blessings cause we do have a lot of them:)  So our new adventure awaits us!  Brett will leave this coming Monday, while I hold down the fort till I can transfer to Costco and rent out our house.  It will be a hard couple weeks being gone from each other, but it's a good thing my family is so close!

Now that's out of the way, we have just been busy with work and play.  Brett has been playing city basketball and I think I like it more then he does!!  I never miss a game and with the help of Dan and Margee Bebee, we are the loudest cheerleaders!  It's way fun! I just started as well.  My first game was 2 days ago, and my body still feels like it was hit by a semi!  I was literally rolling out of bed and I think I pulled some vital muscles in my legs.  The price I pay to do what I love!!!
Here are a few pictures of past events:)

Oh the weather outside is frightful...

But, friends and family are delightful!!  This last weekend my best friend came for a visit from Arizona.  She was in for quite a shock! On Saturday we woke up to this...

We called Whitney to see if they would cancel the game, and she said no way! So we got bundled up, got hot chocolated up, and stuck it out to see Griff play.  He did awesome and the game wasn't that cold.  I kept asking Ami how she was doing, and she said she was fine so I left it at that:)  It was way fun to have Ami come visit.  I hope she had fun cause we sure loved having her here!

Go Griff!!!

BYU vs ISU

Yes I know what you are all thinking..."I bet that was such a good game!"  Ok, so maybe not but it was good to support the school we have all gone to.  I have to admit though, this is the first ISU football game I have been to, ever, and we traveled to Provo for it!  It might not have been the most exciting game ever, but it was fun to be with friends for the day.  ISU lost (big surprise) but at least they scored!  We dressed up to support our school, and we sure stuck out:)

The Good, The Bad, and The Guilty

My dear friend Ami came into town from Arizona.  I wanted to do something fun and boy did we:)  We played How to Host a Murder.  It was so much fun.  We had a good group, that took a lot of work to get but finally we had people pull through.  We had good food, good friends, and good times!  Here are a few pictures of the night.

Trying to be tough:)

We didn't get a picture of Trevor and Angie but they were the other couple.  They were nice enough to come on such short notice so we didn't get a chance to get a picture of them.
