Graduation

The day finally came...Brett graduated!!! I couldn't tell you how proud I am of him. He has been going to school and working full time for the last 6 years. He studies more then any person I know! He would spend endless hours at the school studying and doing homework and it has all finally came to an end!!! Now, he is spending endless hours at work ha ha! At least he is making some money:) Both of us are trying to find jobs, but as many know, the job market isn't the best right now. We will just have to play the waiting game along with a lot of other people. It's so much fun!! (total sarcasm) As for now, Brett is working for his brother Bryce. He is busy, busy, busy. I am still at Mrs. Powell's. It's an easy job, and I actually enjoy all the people watching. There are the regulars that come in everyday... all day! It makes me laugh. These old men come in, get their coffee, and just sit around for hours talking, laughing, walking, and sitting. It's the same crew everyday. I have gotten to know a lot of them, and I now look forward to when I get to see them:) Of course there are the ones that creep me out and make me cringe, but it wouldn't be the same without them.
"The Herd." That's what they called themselves, I don't know why! This group was inseparable throughout school. Don't know what they would have done without each other:) I can see these guys when they are old and gray being the mall walkers ha ha!

The biggest fans of Brett!

Catch up and run!

When you look in the dictionary at the word "procrastination," it should say Chelsey! I am so good at it. I find myself doing nothing productive and then freaking out when I have so much to do because I have put it off. Blogging kind of gives me that feeling too. I have so much to post about but of course I put it off and put it off some more. So here is a brief update of all the things that have been going on. Arizona for me, Alaska for Brett, Jazz game with the boys, Easter, and life! That's about it in a nut shell:)
OK, so Brett went to Alaskafor a steal bridge competition. I wanted to go, but since it would have been so expensive, we decided (more like I) it would be a better idea if I went and visited Ami in Arizona. I had so much fun and I think Brett did too, since he hardly called me, while I was calling him, texting him about every 5 min:) I didn't think I was such a "Whitney" when it comes to being attached, but what can I say...I am! Anyways, it was good trip, but it was way good to come home.
My dad had tickets to the last Jazz game of the season. Of course I had been hounding him, along with my cousin Justin for the tickets. He caved in and decided to take along the grandkids. It was probably the funnest games ever, not only because it was an amazing game, but seeing my dad spoil those boys and seeing the boys light up with excitement was priceless. They ran down to the floor after the game and as you can see in the pictures, they had a blast!
Next comes Easter. I decided tobe theEaster Bunny for Brett. I sent him on a scavenger hunt with poems as clues. I didn't think they were that hard, but I had to give him a lot of clues. He found his basket, and I think he was pleased with the findings. He was cute!
Well, School is about over and both Brett and I can't wait! I think I am more excited for Brett to be done then he is! He spends so much time studying and doing homework it's crazy. I should be more like him, should being the key word, but...nah!!! Blogging is way more important!!!
Me trying to fit into Brett's suitcase...it almost worked!

The Boys!! Isn't my dad so cute!

Brett eventually found his basket :)

Airport

While waiting and waiting, and waiting some more for my flight to take off for Arizona, I think of what I could do with my time. I thought about watching a movie, but the Internet is so slow at the airport. Then I think about reading a book, and I just find myself people watching so I can't get into it. Then I surf the Internet and soon become bored of doing that! I sometimes feel like I have ADD because I can't do anything for a long period of time, unless it watching basketball, but there are no games on right now. So, now I am boring everyone who will read this instead:) I got to the airport this morning at around 11 soon to find out the flight was delayed until 3 for maintenance reasons. I am stranded without a car and hungry, but too cheap to pay the airport price for food. I get the bright idea to go for a walk. It wasn't just a walk, it felt like an all day hike! You can have a good laugh while imaging this...I'm walking down the Highway in I.F. dragging my roller bag, hair blowing in the wind (not the sexy kind either), and me sweating! I pretty much looked like a rich homeless girl ha ha. It was a sight to see I'm sure and I had a lot of stares, but I was bound and determined to find me something to eat. Plus, what else did I have to do? I finally found Walmart and to my luck, a subway. Walking into subway, with my bag, I got more stares and funny looks. I got my sandwich and was off to make the hike back to the airport. More stares and honks came, but I made it back only to find out that the flight was delayed...again! Now I am hear at the airport till about 6 tonight, waiting to see Ami! So, for at least 3 more hours, I will be sitting in the airport people watching and surfing the Internet:) But on the bright side...free bottled water and pop! Jackpot!!!

Who Knew?

Wednesday night, was a night that will go down in history! Who would have ever thought that it was Jerry Sloan's last game in his NBA coaching career. Shawn, Bryson, Brett and myself witnessed a great game, even though they lost, they still beat the traitor Boozer up and made him work for it. We even got on the jumbotron! Bryson and I were both on cloud 9 while Brett did a great job acting like a Jazz fan.

Happy Birthday Brett!

Brett's birthday was January 11 and it was such a great day! The day before, mom helped make cinnamon rolls for him. I was going to try to make them myself, but for some reason, I can't figure out the oven temperature here at the house. I have had a lot of dinners turn out not so well because of the elevation, so I decided to play it safe and have the professional help. I woke Brett up early with a plate full of cinnamon rolls that looked like they were on fire! Then for dinner, we went to his favorite place, Red Lobster, and he finally got his King Crab. As you can see, he is in Heaven! Brett is a year older and I must say wiser:)

Wedding Day!

I know it is long overdue, but here are pictures of one of the greatest days in history:)
